Kristine and Patrick were married May 22nd in Littleton, Colorado. Their beautiful ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Hudson Gardens. It was gorgeous. Kristine and Patrick are professional dancers and performance artists. They have their own dance company Control Group Productions which is how I met them last year.
Their ceremony was amazing. It was the first on I've experienced with a Quaker Silence incorporated. Their guests took turns speaking from their heart while we sat and listened to the breeze and babbling brook. My favorite moment was when a pair geese flew across the water skimming the surface with their feet. It was as if the geese were waiting for their cue to fly off into the sunset. It was perfect.
The reception took place in the Garden Canopy where friends and family gathered for delicious food and a night of dancing. Kristine and Patrick tastefully decorated the canopy with song birds and vintage touches. There was a beautiful jar of vintage buttons that made me smile. They also incorporated their grandparents with photographs from their wedding which was a lovely touch.
Kristine and Patrick are quirky and fun. For their first dance they of course choreographed a delightful duet. This song made me think of them while they danced. This is the original version of "Dance Me to the End of Love." Madeleine Peyroux's version is lovely, but Mr. Cohen's is more fitting for this avant-garde couple.
Kristine and Patrick created a thoughtful and special wedding which was
the perfect way to begin their beautiful marriage. It was a pleasure
documenting their day.
Love and Light,
Love and Light,
Heather
